Meet Our Summer InternsSubmitted by Affiance Financial on June 6th, 2018
Ah, the joys of summer. Bike rides. Ball games. Ice cream. College interns. Each year, we wait impatiently for spring semester to end so that we can bring in some fresh faces to liven the place up (and lighten our workloads). This summer, we are fortunate to have the help of two summer interns — Maggie Andersen, as part of our Client Service Department, and Wally Estenson, as part of our Investment Committee.
If the name Maggie Andersen sounds familiar, it’s not a coincidence… She’s Molly Andersen’s cousin! Maggie is entering her junior year at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She is an Entrepreneurial Management major, deciding between Finance, Business Analytics, or Leadership for a minor. After graduation, Maggie hopes to work in consulting and eventually go back to school for an MBA.
Maggie grew up on Prior Lake. She has two cats, Louie and Dewey. Outside of work, she stays busy practicing yoga and doing DIY projects — she’s currently working on a distressed wooden headboard.
Wally is entering his junior year at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is majoring in Finance, with a minor in Computer Science. After graduation, Wally hopes to spend some time living on the West Coast, doing something that combines finance and technology.
Wally grew up in Minnetonka. He enjoys spending time outdoors year-round, and can often be found skiing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, or walking his dog, Otter.
Please join us in welcoming Maggie and Wally if you see them around the office. We’re so glad they’re here!
