December marks a significant milestone for Affiance Financial – 25 years of working to make lives better. Since Affiance was founded in 2000, our mission has been to help individuals and families work toward achieving their financial goals, while making a positive difference in the community. For us, it has always been about more than rates of return, it’s about creating meaningful impact.
Your trust and partnership have been at the foundation of our longevity. Because of you, we have grown from a small advisory practice into a comprehensive financial planning firm. This milestone represents not just our growth, but the enduring relationships that we have built.
Let’s take a look back at some key moments in the growth of Affiance over the past 25 years:
- 2000: Founded the firm Affiance Financial.
- 2002: Created it’s first Website.
- 2007: Relocated to the Metropoint building.
- 2012: Adopted EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) to reimage business operations.
- 2013: Brought investment services in-house, transforming the way we serve our clients.
- 2017: Started a business plan to fulfill the vision of creating a lasting business.
- 2021: Reached $1 billion in assets under management for the first time.
- 2023: Completed Charles Schwab’s acquisition of TD Ameritrade.
- 2025: Executed a third round of ownership transitions for building a multi-generational firm.
The people are what make Affiance Financial, and it has taken a team effort to achieve the sustainable success we’ve experienced over the years. Our progress has been shaped by the dedication, expertise, and character of the individuals who have been part of our journey. We are grateful to Founding Partners Steve Lear and Andy Fishman for setting Affiance Financial in motion.
